The Goldstein Group Announced the Sale of Two Retail Properties in New Jersey

PARAMUS, NJ. (2024) – The Goldstein Group, a leading provider of retail real estate services announced the sale of two retail properties in New Jersey according to Neil Goldstein, Principal of The Goldstein Group.

First, the sale of Fireside Plaza, a 30,000 square foot strip center located at 679-717 Route 23 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Lew Finkelstein, Executive Vice President, CJ Huter, Vice President and Marc Palestina, Director for The Goldstein Group represented the seller March Centers LLC and the purchaser, Prime Equity.

Second, the sale of the former Bazaar Rugs & Home at 42 Route 17, Paramus, New Jersey, a free standing 12,400 square foot building. Finkelstein, Huter and Palestina also handled this transaction for both the seller, Marks Realty, LLC and the purchaser 42 Route 17, LLC and also handled the subsequent lease to a new tenant for the new owner of the property.

“Both properties received interest from multiple parties”, noted Finkelstein. “The Paramus property, located in the heart of the Paramus, New Jersey retail market, provided outstanding visibility and is located close to the intersection of Routes 17 and 4. We were able to find a buyer and we also found a tenant to take the entire building as we represented the new owner in the lease transaction. It was a win-win situation for the seller along with the purchaser and the new tenant. As for Pompton Plains, the site has a tremendous amount of visibility on the road and the owner plans on subdividing the large box space. We’re currently negotiating several deals for that space”

The Goldstein Group Places McDonald’s at Rutgers Plaza Shopping Center in Somerset New Jersey

PARAMUS, NJ. (2024) – The Goldstein Group, a leading provider of retail real estate services in New Jersey, announced it has placed McDonalds in Rutgers Plaza Shopping Center on Easton Avenue in Somerset, New Jersey according to Neil Goldstein, Principal of The Goldstein Group.

McDonalds has developed a 4,500 square foot restaurant location on this site and was represented by Chuck Lanyard, President and Marc Palestina, Vice President of The Goldstein Group; while Sid Singer, represented the owner, Levin Properties LP.

McDonalds is leasing the location formally occupied by Burger King. This new site will offer two side-by-side drive-thrus which will be open 24 hours a day and a 62-seat restaurant.

McDonalds was looking to relocate an existing restaurant in the market. With Burger King closing its pad location, McDonalds took the opportunity to relocate to a pad site in a supermarket anchored center with tremendous visibility and access.
