The Goldstein Group Places Barnes & Noble on Route 17 in Paramus New Jersey

PARAMUS, NJ. (2023) – The Goldstein Group, a leading provider of retail real estate services in New Jersey, announced it has placed Barnes & Noble, at 634 N Route 17, Paramus, NJ according to Chuck Lanyard, President of The Goldstein Group.

Barnes & Noble moved from its former location at 765 Route 17 South to the former Big Lots location of 35,000 square feet and was represented by Marc Palestina, Vice President and Chuck Lanyard of The Goldstein Group; while Joe Dougherty of Metro Commercial represented the landlord, Big Lots.

“I am pleased to work with Barnes & Noble in their efforts to expand its footprint in New Jersey as well as reposition some of the existing locations,” said Palestina. “Paramus has always been a successful market for them and I take great pleasure knowing that I was able to find them the right location to continue that success. The new store looks beautiful and they are off to an amazing start.”

Barnes & Noble is the world’s largest retail bookseller with approximately 600 bookstores and is a leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products. They will continue to open their classic large bookstores, but also adapt based on what is available & affordable which will offer different experiences. The newly designed stores include having full height bookshelves arranged more like an independent bookstore then its traditional big box store.

The new store will have a café and other departments similar to the old store, including a large kids section and a toys and games department. There are plans to have a used book department in the new store, just as the old Barnes & Noble had, but it may not be ready until the start of the new year.

Unlike the old store, the new location won’t have a music department, but it will have an entertainment department with a vinyl selection. The layout of the store also will be different as it will be “light and airy.” The new venue will include “book nooks” throughout the store, which will connect with one another almost in a maze-like fashion. The flow of the store is designed to lead customers to section for other topics that may interest them.

The Goldstein Group Places Paris Baguette in Paramus New Jersey

PARAMUS, NJ. Paris Baguette has opened in a 4,700 square foot end cap space, formerly occupied by Harold’s Kosher Market.
